First UT Camping Trip
We spent our first weekend camping trip in UT at Diamond Fork. It wasn't our first choice, but the late snow season changed our plans and we ended up really liking our spot. We camped for the first time in a Tent Trailer that we rented and slept under the Cottonwood trees along a creek. We hiked, explored, made s'mores and enjoyed the scenery. We hoped to swim but with so much snow melt this year the river was raging at the time of our trip. Bridget loved the tent trailer and Clara enjoyed her first camping trip!!!
Our spot
Moose on the Loose
We heard about the wildlife and I questioned people about it when we moved here. In California we dealt with opossums, raccoons, or the occasional coyote in our neighborhood. I was excited to live in a house that backed up to an open space preserve, but I didn't think about MOOSE!!! Here is the first day we met this moose in our backyard. They have been back to visit a couple times now.
Daddy's New Ride
We sold Cody's truck in California before we moved. Knowing he could walk to work and we would want to eventually buy a 4x4 car we waited. Summer came and Cody had been browsing online for a couple months. He found the perfect car and it also had a tow package (something we really wanted for camping, etc.). So we went down to Salt Lake and bought it. Best part was paying for it with cash, it felt great to own something the second we drove it off the lot.
Mommy's New Ride
There is so much outdoor stuff to do in Park City and we decided to spend the money and buy a bike trailer and jogger. It arrived two days later and it's been really fun. Both of the girls love it and they each have a helmet.
Spring arrived late, but we'll take it!
Spring arrived late or as most people in Park City say, we went from Winter to Summer. Our first warm weekend we enjoyed the Park City Children's Fair and some amazing spring color. Bridget rode a pony, watched a magician with new friends and we all enjoyed the warm weather. All the seasonal bulbs finally bloomed too!
