My First Bike Ride!

We took Bridget on her first bike ride. We set-up the new baby seat and headed down to Huntington. We rode along the boardwalk and people watched (of course!). The ride back against the wind was tough and Bridget started to melt, so the day ended short, but it was a fun memory and the start of many more bike rides!

Stop and Smell the Roses

My roommate Stacey from college came to visit so we we spent our Saturday in one of our favorite ways. Breakfast at Roses, Corona del Mar Farmer's Market and a long walk around CDM. Bridget was so excited and she loved the flowers and kept running around touching and smelling them. This is something we taught her early on and it has stuck! After the running around she slept for 2 hours in her stroller as we enjoyed CDM.

We also met Grammy one day at the Balboa Library and went on a walk along the boardwalk. It was the first clear day after the massive snow storms. Standing in Balboa we could see the snow, it was awesome.

Bridget insisted on grabbing her purse out of the stroller. Notice the contents...Mom's old wallet, baby doll with bottle, old cell phone, etc. Her babysitter Brenda gave her the purse for her birthday!

Santa Ana Zoo visit...

We took B to the Santa Ana Zoo a few weeks ago. She is an animal lover, she even gets excited when we see a crow. She loved the monkeys! We had a fun time, but look forward to our next trip to the LA Zoo.

Irvine Park Day

Bridget and her best friend Macey went to Irvine Park together for the first time! (Actually Michelle and I went so we could get some good girlfriend time in and exercise) The girls had so much fun. We packed a lunch, had a picnic, went on the swings, took them to the zoo and had a nice long walk. It couldn't have been more peaceful that day. We love our "forever friends". xoxo

and then She turned 1!

I still can't believe Bridget turned ONE, I still remember being pregnant and waiting for her arrival. The holidays kept us busy and then Bridget's birthday arrived with a massive rain storm. We spent her actual birthday with Grammy and Auntie April. We started out with breakfast at the Pancake House and then headed to South Coast Plaza because of the terrible weather. We survived the storm, winds and tornado while Bridget rode the carousel and shopped. You have to see her shop, I have never seen a kid get so excited about clothes, she was ooohing and ahhhing at everything! We ended the day with her favorite dinner, Spaghetti and a cupcake.





Here are some pictures we took at Sears a couple weeks before her birthday. We had fun playing dress-up. It took Cody, April and I to get her dressed for the big shoot and she did awesome! The yellow parasol was a gift Cody brought her home from his last trip to Taiwan.

Post Holiday Wrap Up (New Fence and Morro Bay)

Cody and his Dad built us a NEW fence! They are awesome, it was up in 1 1/2 days!!! We had an old 3' fence at the back of our property, but we thought it would be safer for Bridget if we put in a new 6' fence. She LOVES it and loves sitting at the back fence and waving hi to people driving by. We finished the fence right after Christmas and then headed to Morro Bay with my parents and brother for New Years!!!

Holiday Wrap Up

Christmas was a fun time this year with little Bridget running around. We started out by celebrating with our family at home on Wednesday morning the 23rd. We then went to Grammy and Grampy Anderson's for Christmas Eve Eve and Christmas Eve, where we had Chinese food on Balboa Island, walked around and saw the lights and then woke up to Christmas Eve morning with the Anderson Family and Our's.

Then we drove that day to Pismo Beach and enjoyed Gigi and Grandpa Brooner's Christmas Eve party. Bridget had so much fun and got to check out a real fire truck. We woke up Christmas morning at their house enjoyed the day. Then we drove to Mimi and Papa Brooner's on Christmas night for our fourth and final Christmas at their house the morning after Christmas!
