Ladybug!

I had to post this photo because it made me laugh. Bridget loved this rocking ladybug at the park this past weekend. She even figured out how to make it go on her own. She is hilarious!

Adding Fall color to the Yard

We decided to update our front planter this weekend. We have the most annoying crows that have repeatedly ripped out one of our plants digging for worms. So it was time to get rid of it and put something new in its place. We opted for FALL color and it was a good decision. Cody and I weeded the yard and installed the new plants and Bridget sat on her blanket and had a great time watching us do all the work!

Pumpkin Pancakes

I made Pumpkin Pancakes this morning...now that it is Fall. I will find any excuse to make pumpkin anything. Bridget was served up first and she gobbled up every last bite. This was her first plate of pancakes and I served it with applesauce as well. Welcome Fall!


Quick Pumpkin Pancakes:

2 cups Buttermilk Pancake Mix - dry
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 - 1/2 cup canned Pumpkin
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Goodbye Summer...Hello Fall!

We had a really fun summer and we are sad to see it go, but we are looking forward to the Fall! Apple picking, visiting the Pumpkin patch, Halloween and giving thanks for our many blessings this year.

Bridget Stands Up!

Bridget turned 8 months old over the weekend! I set her in her crib this morning and next thing I know she is standing up holding on to me. Cody just lowered her crib last weekend in case she decided to try and stand, good thing! This video also displays her new laugh. Gosh we love her!

Turning 30!

I turned 30 over the weekend, it was a great time out on the town.  So many laughs, lots of great food and surrounded by friends and family.  My parents made brunch on Sunday morning that was amazing (as usual) and homemade bloody mary's.  Hitting the big 30 has been fun.  I looked forward to turning 16 and 21, but never really thought about 30.  I guess I never really knew what to expect 30 to be like and its more than I ever could have imagined.

As Time McGraw says "I think Ill take a moment, celebrate my age, The ending of an era and the turning of a page, Now its time to focus in on where I go from here, Lord have mercy on my next thirty years"

Summer Vacation

I just wanted to add a few pictures from our family vacation road trip up to Monterey and back. We had so much fun and Bridget did great. She even realized it was vacation and slept in late each morning and really went with the flow. We look forward to the next one!

Bridget has started to get the hang of her walker this week and she really likes it. She was cruising around the house last night so I decided to take her outside. We put on her pink Vans and she walked around the sidewalk in front of our house and then we ventured across the street to chat with a few neighbors.

Starting a blog...do I really want to do this?

So I have had this blog page for a while now but never got around to starting it. After reading my friends blogs and reading and watching Julie and Julia it really has made me want to blog. So I am starting out tonight, Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Thanks to my best friend Jen who started one this week as well...she gave me the final nudge that I needed to start mine. This will just be for fun, so I can write funny things that my precious little Bridget does, post silly pictures and make you laugh.

Here it goes....I added this photo that is almost 2 years old because its of Jen and I (and I mention her in this post) and its the only picture on my laptop I could find of us...I am too lazy to walk to my other computer right now and finish this. Goodnight!
