California Beach Day

The Girls and I made a trip back to California while Cody was traveling in China. It was perfect weather and we spent tons of time at the beach, just what we wanted to do. It is the one thing we miss the most about California (besides friends and family). Also I don't want Clara to be deprived of the beach since she is growing up in UT right now.

What you do in a Ski town in the Summer?

You hit the slopes, ride the lifts, slide down the hills and have some fun! We went to Park City Mountain Resort and checked out the summer fun. Bridget rode the Alpine slide with Daddy and Mommy and got to ride up the lift twice too. She kept saying faster to me the whole way down!

So fun!

Clara just had to sit and watch it all.

4th of July in PC

4th of July in Park City. It was pure Americana! Outdoor concerts, fireworks, Main St parade and all. We had a blast and the girls seemed to soak it all in.

Family Visits UT and we Explore (long post)

My parents and April came to visit the end of June. After looking at how much we explored and enjoyed you will think they stayed longer than a few nights, but it was just a long weekend. The weather was finally warm and we were ready to explore! The first day Cody was at work so my parents came to my workout class at a park while they watched the girls then we headed to The Farm, a cool historic area that has been restored. Its in the middle of hiking trails and set at the base of the mountains.

Then it was hula hoop time, we were killing time the next morning before April arrived.

Bridget loves to hula hoop, she got Grammy to do it and Grammy is good!

Later that afternoon April arrived and we headed to Deer Valley where we took the lift up the mountain to Royal Street Cafe.

My Blueberry Mojito...it was good

Relaxing before we head back down, Bridget had a spill a few minutes later and the mountain patrol helped patch her knee up!

Then we tried dinner at a new place to us, High West Distillery. Amazing food and whiskey! Cody and Grampy with the girls.

Mint Juleps, cheers!

After dinner we walked downtown where they were holding Savor the Summit, its this really cool outdoor eating experience, where they create a mile long table down Main St.

The next day we headed to Sundance Resort, owned by Robert Redford and enjoyed a day of hiking in the "Utah Alps". So far this is still one of my favorite things I have done in UT. Sundance is beautiful and only 38 miles from our house.

Last night we enjoyed a drink downtown with April at the Sky Lodge

It was an awesome weekend and so nice to have family in town. Park City is great, so much to do, experience and explore, but there is no place like home.

First UT Camping Trip

We spent our first weekend camping trip in UT at Diamond Fork. It wasn't our first choice, but the late snow season changed our plans and we ended up really liking our spot. We camped for the first time in a Tent Trailer that we rented and slept under the Cottonwood trees along a creek. We hiked, explored, made s'mores and enjoyed the scenery. We hoped to swim but with so much snow melt this year the river was raging at the time of our trip. Bridget loved the tent trailer and Clara enjoyed her first camping trip!!!
